While it’s been years since he’s revisited them, Wild was sure that the recognition may hit him like a freight train.But he had to.
It’s been long enough, he’s waited long enough. He can’t run from it forever, and Wild knew. Yet, he desperately tried to extend that wait of recalling as much as he could. And yet, he took today as a sign. Because if he didn’t get into it, then he was never going to do so, and the anchor was going to sink deeper and deeper as he went on.
He was getting tired of that weight on him.

So here’s the dealio.
Once upon a time a group of time travelling weirdos gave 10 year olds Link and Zelda a shadow crystal thingy so that Shadow’s future Heroic Sacrifice™ might be a little less… sacrificial.
And it was great! For like, more than a decade they all got to grow up together all alive and happy! But things fall apart as they do, and Link died, and some time loop scheme Shadow honestly wasn’t paying that much attention to (he tried, okay?) has been enacted.
Now Shadow’s joined the time travelling weirdos, and one of them is a Link who’s years younger than his who never managed to save his Shadow.
Things are messy. Things are stressy.
But they have a time loop to close to save Shadow and maybe to save Link, and whatever.
He’ll wing it.
What could go wrong?

To Four, Warriors is dangerous. Vio can see right through the ploy. Warriors displays himself as outgoing at heart and a pleasantly social person, yet underneath that, they know that there’s nothing but regret and other by-products of extremely unhealthy habits and patterns.
And now, it seems as if the mask is cracking and his fury is slipping away.
OR
Four decides to ask Warriors for some help in their studies, given that Warriors had always maintained top grades. Though, not everybody is perfect, and neither of them realized that until it was simply too late.

"What..?" Shadow breathed. "What the fuck are you talking about?!" Shadow screeched, stomping his foot on the ground. His hands were curled in balls so tightly that red crescents formed from the pressure of his unkept nails.
"I'm alive, aren't I?" Four laughed, manic. "I-I'm not laying dead in a ditch somewhere, I must thank you for your time!"
"What? I-"
"No, no- Really, I mean it!" Four grinned like the Cheshire himself. "I don't need you anymore."
Shadow felt as though icicles pierced through his always-cold skin. His blood ran even colder than it already was.
"Its over!" Four announced, clearly blinded by some sort of false reverie and disbelief.
"You're damn right it is." Shadow spat.
OR
Four can't get over the past. Loss always follows.

Summary
Four shouldn't have ran from Time like that. They should have apologized, Four should have been better, they should have known better. There was so much that Four should have been doing, so much more that Four could have been doing. They didn't like this at all.
Four was too clueless. They felt too hopeless, and little to do near anything. Four needed that guidance, that reassurance, and that sort of assistance.
Even so, Four doesn't want it to be like this. Four wants to be carried, to be held securely in somebody's arms. They want to be cuddled, cooed at, and allowed to cry. Four doesn't want this. Four doesn't want to be alone. Four doesn't want to be in this sort of, sort of- time-out. Four didn't want that at all.
OR
Four comes back from school rather upset. Albeit, they wish things could have gone better.

This is fine, everything is fine.
Sure, Legend’s back in the Dark World, site of some minor boyhood (and bunnyhood) trauma, but he’s got a Moon Pearl, and so does Four, and Sky has the Master Sword. That’s three of them who don’t have to deal with the Dark World transformation curse!
And okay, maybe he’ll have to explain all this a little bit, but he can just leave out that part about the shadows with Four’s face and sword who almost murdered him as an 11 year old. It’s not like it’ll come up.
The odds of said 11 year old being anywhere around are probably super low too, right?

Summary
At twelve years old, the Hero of Legend nearly dies inside the palace of the Four Sword. Worlds away, the Hero of Lorule is saved by the ghost of a shadow. Opposites and equals in every way, the two boys are haunted by the Hero of Light’s legacy.
Life goes on, through love and war and the machinations of gods.
Shadow never expected to wake up again after shattering the Dark Mirror. Without the Hero he was created to follow, what’s the point of him? It’s a brave new world, and Shadow has no choice but to change with it, blissfully unaware of the Four Sword resting just below his feet.
