Summary
Some nights, Goro Akechi will show up on Ren Amamiya’s doorstep, roughed up and bloody and beat to hell, and ask for a place to stay for the night.
Some nights, Ren Amamiya will invite a messed up Goro Akechi into his apartment, patch up his various scrapes and aches, and then make tomato egg stir fry for two.
Some nights, Goro Akechi and Ren Amamiya will eat dinner together at 12, watch Phoenix Ranger Featherman together at 1, and pass out together on the sofa by 2.
Some mornings, Ren Amamiya will wake up cold and alone on a barren couch, and the phantom sensation of a warm body next to his and some used up first aid supplies in the trash will be the only evidence that Goro Akechi was ever there in the first place.
Shenanigans ensue.

On February 1st, the Phantom Thieves will finalize their route to Maruki’s Treasure. On February 1st, Joker will fail to dodge a Shadow’s attack and play it off as fine anyway, and every Phantom Thief will believe him. On February 1st, Akechi will realize Ren is a hopeless stupid fucking loser, and he will follow him home under the guise of wanting coffee. Shenanigans will ensue.

They're just teenagers; they don't really know how to deal with the aftermath of a brutal interrogation. Especially when they don't know for sure how bad it was. When Ren pushes for a quick run through the next palace, the other Phantom Thieves reluctantly go along with it, only to realize that was most definitely a mistake.

“Stop being cute,” Goro grumbled. “I'm trying to decide whether I should kill you here and now or not.”
He lifted his hand, trying to free his claw from the offending tail and instead found Joker dangling from his finger, looking cheerful, his little feet kicking through the air in an effort to make himself swing back and forth faster.
Goro's heart almost stopped at the sight and that must've interrupted the blood-flow to his brain because for a moment, he found himself moving his hand on instinct, watching the little, fat rat swing while making happy squeaking noises.So. Joker evidently did not know how to stop being cute. Great. Just Great.
