Summary
Elorean is an elf from a long line of healers. Her Grandmother tended to King Oropher, Thranduil’s Father. Elorean understands that the new threats her people face call for new solutions in medicine. Growing up alongside a brother whose sole goal was to be a great fighter, Elorean is also well skilled with a sword a bow. She will need to draw on both her skills as a healer and a fighter as her people follow their King into battle. Elorean is not prepared for what transpires as she crosses boundaries and finds herself face to face with the King. Etiquette and diplomacy are attributes that Elorean often neglects when her inquisitiveness and ambition kick in. She is determined to do that which she knows is right whatever the cost. The King is not one to be crossed and beneath his armor are many secrets and wounds he has kept concealed for centuries. But this young elf healer keeps getting under his skin and that could prove to be very dangerous for both of them.

Summary
The story starts in Rivendell, where Legolas arrives — not to be one of the Nine Companions, but because his life is at stake.
Legolas Greenleaf, born and raised as a warrior in Elvenking's courts and destined to lead his father's armies, has worked instead as his father's ambassador and lived an active and full life after the grievous accident that ended his promising career. During the last months, his symptoms that have been absent for over two centuries, start to emerge again, and Thranduil sends his only son to see Elrond if the healer could find a reason for the Prince's deteriorating health.
At the same time, the world is changing and the powers of evil gathering, far from the elven realms, but not too far to force them to get ready to take their side in what's coming.
First story of my mini series written for Whumptober 2024.

Bard's youngest builds an immediate rapport with both the son and the father in a manner that seems foreign to everyone involved. While neither had believed in such a thing as reincarnation, they are left to wonder if perhaps, love does have a way of finding its way home.

Their whirlwind love story was tapestry woven from stolen touches, starlit nights, and whispers of the eternity they would share together
Fate had other plans, however. The cruel hands of time and twists of destiny chipped away at his heart piece by piece, turning the beloved Prince of Eryn Galen into the greed driven and ill-tempered King of Mirkwood history would remember him as.
Now, as his only son is about to set sail to the Undying Lands, Thranduil is finally ready to tell him the story he had not uttered in over 2000 years, a story Legolas had longed to hear his whole life - the story of his mother.

Summary
Thranduil gives a place of refuge to an elleth and her young child, saving their lives and giving them protection. Centuries later, he is ambushed in the forest by a furious female, who challenges him in a fight to the death. Rage, tears, and truths emerge, and he is stunned at the elleth's identity. Could it possibly be the same child who had run riot in his palace hundreds of years before, creating mischief at every turn and leading a young Legolas down a path of anarchy? And if it was, why was it her mission to take his life?
As both struggle to come to terms with what they know, feelings change, and the King finds himself falling in love with the inferno of angry fire who destroys the defences around his heart. Can they find a way to overcome the past and be together? Or will the lies and betrayal keep them as enemies until time runs out? Thranduil is not looking forward to the upcoming feast and Masquerade ball, and drowns his desires and emotions in wine as the event approaches. Seeing an elleth who reminds him of the one he loves but cannot have, he decides that a substitute will have to be sufficient - it is a masquerade after all. A hot night of passion and sex follow, until he breaks down and admits through his drunken haze who it is he has fallen in love with.
