Charlie shook her head. "No...?"

Elizabeth placed her hand on top of Charlie's, checking that their fingers lined up, chanting the song as she pressed down on the corresponding finger, slowing it down for the sake of her pupil. The mansion had been the first building to be built in the town, though it would be more accurate to say that the town was built around the mansion. The Afton family had resided in that mansion for nearly a thousand years now, what they saw in the location and why they stayed was likely the only question about them that truly lingered in Hurricane, though it was decided that they must enjoy the peace. Perhaps they were right, or perhaps the Afton family simply delighted in knowing this was one of the few places where humans could know of the existence of vampires and still co-exist peacefully.or
Charlie and Henry move into the town of Hurricane and discover that their neighbors are vampires and the Aftons are rather curious about what secrets the Emilys have.

Summary
I tossed the timeline into a blender, and this came out.
The original idea was to just have William run away after stabbing Charlie, Henry was able to get her to a hospital in time and then adopted the Afton kids.
But then The Plot took over and now Vanessa and Gregory are still as unfortunate as ever and Glitchtrap is a sadistic and goofy creature.
Still less deaths and everyone gets a happier ending though. Oh, also the og title about no major characters dying is now a lie Mrs. Afton is dead.

- Jinu is Celine’s protégé and has a totally normal, healthy relationship with her.
- Zoey and Mira are kumiho demons who are having way too much fun being evil and cannot stop teasing their Saja Boy boy toys.
- Celine is an active participant in the plot.
- Rumi, the leader of the demon girl band Huntr/x, seems to hold a particularly motivated grudge against the Hunters and their mentor.
