Gojo knelt in front of the cage.
The curse jerked back on instinct, spine colliding with the rusted bars hard enough to rattle the entire enclosure. It bared its teeth. Or tried to. The metal restraint welded around its lower face forced the snarl into something wet and strangled. The sound that came out might have been threatening if it wasn’t broken apart by coughing.
Gojo’s smile didn’t reach his eyes.

alternatively = the author is projecting onto Yuuji but felt like a freak so he had to come up with an excuse for this headcanon.
