Summary
Special Agent Castiel Novak has worked for the FBI for a number of years. His very first undercover mission, which he chooses to accept, is to infiltrate Kansas City’s largest organized crime family. The mission is fairly straightforward and Cas is happy to sacrifice his normal life to clean up the streets of Kansas City.
Then he meets Dean, a young man who has been kidnapped and forced to work for the organization by way of prostitution.
Despite the point of the mission being to take down the organization, Cas finds that he only cares about saving Dean Winchester.

Due to the content, this fic is pretty dark, though there are light moments. Worth Re-Reading. However very obvious (and implied) abuse, sexual and otherwise, graphic depictions of violence, implied drug use, horrible abuse of humans justified by... it'll serve the greater good. And implied Human Trafficking... So read at own risk. From Undercover FBI Agent's point of view.

He hears the grate of Erica sliding the window open, hears her call after the homeless man, muttering far off now, "Hey! You killed Stiles!"
She sounds vaguely annoyed more than anything.
Derek wants to howl with the agony he's in.
"You bastard!" Isaac chimes from somewhere deeper in the Loft.
Derek feels sick.
He rocks the body in his arms, holds the hand in his over the wound, shakes with sobs he doesn't let free, and wonders how this was the thing who got the boy who runs with wolves? How was it just another meaningless act of violence? How is that fair?
Why doesn't anyone seem to care?
[Or: The one where Stiles gets cursed by witches, keeps dying and coming back to life, and the only one even vaguely cognizant of this is Derek.]
