Summary
Fíli Durin is trying his hardest to honour his chronically stressed uncle's sacrifices and take some of the weight of managing Orc Pit from his hands. It’s going rather smoothly - until a lumpy-jumper-wearing stranger carrying an electric piano heavier than himself falls on top of him, and- oh no, is that the pianist of PEN/KNIFE?!
As the club’s popularity swells, a fresh face joins the security team. Dwalin isn’t entirely sure about this skinny redhead – who apparently has a more impressive CV than him – but one thing is certain; the more Nori Staedtler calls him ‘wanker’, the harder it is to stay away.
Thorin Durin needs a holiday. He needs something, anything that isn’t managing Orc Pit’s new popularity. When an irritated bookstore owner complains about noise levels again, he finds himself standing outside the club at two in the morning with a decibel meter and a silently seething Bilbo Baggins… who looks surprisingly good in his leather jacket.
Dís Durin is burning out. But when Lobelia Bracegirdle begs her to act as her girlfriend for a family function, could it lead to something more?

“You did choose right,” the second voice mused. “How very curious.”
There was a deep sigh, or rather the sensation of one. It wasn’t really clear where or how it started, but there must have been one for everyone present to understand the reality of something doing the sighing. And when that fourth not-voice spoke, it was entirely directed at the figure dripping blood onto the proverbial (and very literal) carpet.
There is much I wish to discuss with you, my champion.
The figure scowled. Swiping a hand over his face to remove the worst of the blood, he straightened up.
“And I have a fair bit to discuss with you, I’d wager,” Ori spat. “Starting with why you’ve been talking to me for the last five months.”Or: how Aragorn became king, featuring the Valar and countless acts of great stupidity.

But then you come along, and suddenly I’m bein’ patched up and fixed instead of thrown out, and it’s weird. I keep waiting for the day when I’m not worth fixin’ anymore.”
Dwalin tightened his hold a little, tucking the back of Nori’s head beneath his chin. “You’re not a tool,” he murmured into his hair. “You’re you. If I wanted someone who’d do everything I told them to… well, that’s not who ye are, is it? That’s not the Nori I fell in love with.”
Or: homecoming hits harder than Nori expected. Thankfully, Dwalin is around for some reassurance.

That's it, that's the fic lol for Filiori Fest 2026
They were taking their time in their courtship, as many dwarrow do. With long life spans and intensive careers, there was no rush for marriage. And seeing as they both had clingy siblings, it was rare for Fili and Ori to indulge in the more physical aspects of their relationship.
To say that they were sexually pent up was an understatement. Fili was humping Ori with wild abandon and whimpering into each heated kiss. Ori was not much better, with soaked smalls and drawn out moans.
