Genma raised his eyebrows over his cheap can of beer and set it down with a hollow aluminum thud. “Talk? I don’t know, maybe.” He flashed Kakashi a grin, as if to say that he would humor him. “If trees could talk, what would they say?”

One of the cutest things I've ever read.
Growing old and dying together is almost never touched on and I love this fic for doing it.
