"I just . . ." Jayce shakes his head. His voice is low, almost apologetic. "I don't want to make things harder for you, V."
"You make everything harder, Jayce."
A beat passes. Then another. Maybe five. "Do I really?"
Viktor's expression softens for a moment. He nods his head; so slight it could be missed. "Yes," he says grimly. "It is your greatest talent."
Then Viktor surges up on his toes and crushes his mouth against Jayce's with all the desperation of a starved man.
Jayce and Viktor get into an argument. Somehow, they end up with their hands down each other's pants.

Twenty years after the war, Zuko has sent a letter to Sokka that he needs to come visit. They see each other regularly, but Sokka has never actually been to Caldera during the height of the summer season, because well he doesn't do great with heat.
But best friend calls, he'll answer.
And the heat is as bad as he expected. Even worse is that people, including Zuko, wear very little clothing at this time of year. Finding out your best friend is gorgeous and you have developed an instant crush on them after all these years, is likely to be a bit of a problem.
