It was raining the day Pili was killed too.
The memory is burned into his mind, sharp and still very raw, having only happened recently. He remembers every detail, the pelting of rain on his back, the pained breathing of the man he held in his arms. He can still feel the warmth of Pili’s blood soaking through his clothes, a stark contrast to the cold, wet rain. The way Pili’s body went limp, the color draining from his eyes. He can almost smell the metallic scent of blood that plagued the air.
As much as he wants to, Pangi will never forget.

Summary
Lukey leans in to meet him halfway. Their lips meet in a kiss, soft and devastatingly sweet. The second their lips touch, Lukey feels Pangi shift, already drawing back. Like he means to make the kiss a brief goodbye.
But Lukey can’t let him go. He won’t let Pangi leave like this, with the date ending on a bitter note.

Pangi turned his head to glare at him, but paused as he laid his eyes on Pili, still half-asleep and pressing his face into a pillow. A small smile tugged at Pangi’s lips. He scoffed, more teasing than annoyed. “You’re cold? You literally have fur to keep you warm. Some of us don’t come with a built-in blanket.”
