Ajax had always dreamt of adventure. Of valiant warriors facing evil dragons and brave princes rescuing fair maidens. At the tender age of twelve—almost thirteen! he would argue—the boy simply wanted to be a hero.
He never expected the chance to become one would arrive so soon.
On an otherwise ordinary day, he stumbles upon a young girl, seemingly his age, lying unconscious in the snow deep within the woods. Lumine doesn’t remember a thing—neither her identity, nor how she got there, nor why her body looks so small. But one thing quickly becomes clear: if she wants to survive in these unfamiliar circumstances, her best chance lies with the fiery-haired boy with sparkling blue eyes.
Will this encounter define their future? Or quietly fade into the past? Only time will tell.

Summary
In a world where soulmates not only exist, but are also common to find, Ajax eventually discovers that he shares a more than special soul connection with a girl that he has never seen before. Neither him nor Lumine asked to be telepathically bound to each other, but after the initial shock, they realize that it isn't the worse thing that could've happened to them.
That is until, after many years of sharing the connection, one of them is put in danger because of the uniqueness of their bond. Someone is looking to find out how and why said bonds happen, and will stop at nothing to get their hands on subjects to experiment on and get the answers that they are looking for.
When they get a hold of Lumine, Ajax will stop at nothing to save her.

Summary
Trouble never seemed far off when Childe was around. For the most part, Lumine didn't mind that. Kept things interesting, for sure. Usually, their mutual brand of mayhem looked like epic battles against hilichurls and eldritch horrors from Abyss. But the moment Childe sheepishly croaked out "my parents think we're dating," Lumine just knew that they had stumbled head first into a new form of danger. Sadly, this one wasn't one they could stab their way out of.
Though frankly if this fake dating thing didn't go well, Lumine wasn't above trying it.
