At his prompting, Mike thought for a minute. If he was asked for a place to hide…well he couldn’t think of anything but his basement. Still air, soft blankets. El.
Mike’s eyes burned.“Yeah okay, I picked one.”
“Alright, then I ask some questions. Try to find you. You only give me yes or no answers.”
Mike shifted in his seat, “Okay.”
“The idea is to delve in where your brain goes when it wants to hide,” he explained, “what it finds safe, familiar or innovative.”

Something clicked in Mike’s brain, like he suddenly remembered the answer to a test.
“I’m not hiding.”
He said before he could stop himself. Dustin’s arms tightened around him, before he pushed Mike away, just enough that he could look at him in confusion.
Mike blinked, mind suddenly clearer, what was he saying-“I’m not hiding, I’m looking for something.”

Mike does not reply. Jonathan glances over his shoulder, mid-step, and pulls up short in confusion at what he sees. Mike is still by the van where the darkness is deepest, his white t-shirt dappled with darker shadows, standing stock-still. Unnervingly still. Stiller than Jonathan has ever seen him. No bouncing leg, no tapping finger, no nothing; he’s just standing there, staring down at his blood-covered hands in a faraway sort of fascination.

Sincere compliments follow honest conversations, and misunderstandings are cleared up, leaving Adrien and Marinette to enjoy the day together on a romantic not-date. Discovery and unexpected feelings ensue.

“This is my umbrella,” Adrien told him, as though he didn't quite believe it and the words would bring some sense to it.
“Even I could have told you that,” the kwami said with a shrug, his focus returning to his meal.
“Why did she keep my umbrella?” he asked, only half-directing the question at Plagg.
The kwami, however, chose to answer anyway. “Well, she is your friend, isn't she?” he asked as he finally gave in and stuffed the cheese in his mouth. He swallowed, closing his eyes in satisfaction. “What's so weird about it?”
When Marinette sees Chat Noir on her way home in the rain, she doesn't think twice about giving him her umbrella. Only later does he realize that this is his umbrella. But why would she bother keeping it? He's determined to figure the girl out, but since she can't seem to speak to him as Adrien, his only option is as his alter-ego.

Summary
After Hero's Day, Ladybug and Chat Noir had mostly gone back to their routines. That's their plan after Miracle Queen, too.
It doesn't work for very long. It doesn't work for much longer than about half a day.
It feels like they can barely finish one fight before the next one's already on them, and they don't have any allies anymore. Hawkmoth knows he has an advantage now and he's pressing it as hard as he can.
But Ladybug and Chat Noir do still have the same solid foundation they've always had, one that Hawkmoth's never truly succeeded at taking away from them.
They still have each other, and with each other they're willing to face the whole world.

The blizzard doesn't leave them with a lot of options, but at least the tunnels offer some safety from the storm. Chat Noir might be the only of them who can see in them, but that's hardly a deterrent for his partner and their team, especially when their other option is to stay out in the snowstorm that envelops all of Paris.
Besides, it turns out there's a whole lot they need to say to each other in the shelter and the dark of the tunnels beneath their city.

The other people around are giving him a wide berth. Marinette very nearly turns to leave, too, but-
Unlike the others here, she knows Chat Noir. She knows that set to his spine, the way he's standing with his chin tucked under, the restless way he's rolling his baton between his hands.
She sees the unhappiness in the way he's holding himself and she's moving towards him before she ever sees the butterfly.

He's not sure now what had possessed him to do it anyway.
Nino's fairly fast. He's faster now than he used to be, and he's way more acrobatic. He knows he could climb the rough walls on either side of the alley, given a chance.
Like the kind of chance he could maybe get by throwing a bait wallet down the alleyway past knife guy.
Knife guy's not giving him that kind of chance.
Nino really wishes he'd listened to Alya.
