For Trip, meeting T’pol was a daydream turned reality. Only, a nightmare begins when he finds himself caring for the alien woman and sheltering her from the intrusive clutches of the government. The year is 2026. And a crash landing turns into something much more meaningful when a motley crew rallies around the newest edition to Earth’s population.
For T'pol's part, fitting into a pre-warp civilization is a daunting task. But finding belonging and family with her new friends is easier than expected. And even more unexpected were the romantic feelings developed for Trip, who has a terrible habit of invading her mind space.

I really like this premise. Most "modern setting" fics don't involve the sci-fi and/or fantasy aspects of a world at all, let alone what looks like a possible soulmate AU of sorts, but this manages to have the "modern setting" trope while still involving a lot of the core elements of the original show, and I absolutely love it.
Also everyone's dynamics, actions, and speech patterns are all in-character, which I also appreciate. Trip feels like Trip, T'Pol feels like T'Pol, Hoshi feels like Hoshi, and so on.
