Summary
Rick Flag was known to be a pretty good leader, it was the reason why he had been chosen to lead a squad of infamously reckless and idiotic criminals, however it was a lot harder to maintain his authority when one member of the team despised his guts for seemingly no reason.

Summary
“If you're going to kill me, would you maybe consider doing it quickly? With no pain?” Jaskier winced as he scrambled backward a little, despite knowing he had no chance of escaping this beast if it decided to pounce on him. “Aim the jugular, right here, really easy."
Alright, so maybe a piece of slate bread wasn't enough to tame a monster, but who could blame him for trying. Boredum had lowered his already non-existant survival instincts, and repressed anger had made him too proud to call for help. He'd rather blame this unfortunate encounter on Geralt. Do not ignore your bard during an entire dragon hunt and expect him to behave safely.

Summary
Flowers were such pretty, delicate things. Always a source of inspiration for any poet, but not so much when they crawled up the poet's throat though. As Jaskier walked away from Geralt, he felt far from inspired by the blood and petals gathering in his mouth.
Jaskier has been given a chance to die, to cower from his heartache. Because sometimes, the best thing a flower could do was die. -

Summary
When Newt gets sick, it's up to Thomas to take care of him. If he had known how the blond was when he had a flu, or more precisely, when he was given a terrible medication that completely messed with his brain, he would've found a way to get out of the Maze just to escape this responsability, because now that the roles are reversed, Thomas finds out that taking care of a reckless mind isn't that easy.

Summary
Newt was nothing but a burden. He was always occupying the leader's thoughts, always drawing his attention to him. When he wasn't sitting on his laps at their club where every single transaction took place, he was on the dance floor in the middle of the crowd, far from them, and yet, still the main preoccupation on Thomas' mind.

Summary
“I don’t call you kid because I think you’re stupid. I don’t think you’re stupid. You’d know if I thought you were stupid, because I would tell you. ‘Kid’ is a…” He trails off, free hand tapping thoughtful rhythms on the steering wheel, “…Nickname. Term of endearment. Whatever you want to call it, but it’s not derogatory.”
Jack holds up a second finger.
“You have not been taking care of yourself. If you were, you wouldn’t have a low grade fever, and you would’ve called me as your boss or one of your friends to drive you instead of walking to work in the rain after your car died. You’ve been surviving. There’s a difference.”

good things happen to those who are found crying in the supply closet by their hot, older, maybe flirty boss-slash-mentor.
