After all, if it couldn't hurt them when they thought it was a prank, there's no way it was really dangerous. Instead, they took a video of themselves mocking it and posted that alongside their Herobrine sighting. Surely this would have no unforeseen consequences, right?

This never should’ve happened. Noelle shouldn’t have been forced to kill an entire city’s worth of Darkners. She shouldn’t have been forced to cast a spell that froze Berdly solid into a thick crystal of ice. Berdly shouldn’t be lying here lifelessly.
They can do something about at least one of these things. They need to get him to the hospital.

In the aftermath of Snowgrave, Kris rips out the SOUL lodged inside them and leaves through the window to try and fix at least some things. This includes shambling across the town to get Berdly, still-unconscious in the computer lab, somewhere safe.
Kris's terrible awful no-good very bad night; set in Chapter 2 but written with the insight obtained in Chapter 4 of Kris being the one to bring Berdly to the hospital.

Summary
A great source of despair draws Nightmare to an abandoned AU. There he finds an unfinished Sans with no name, no companions, no purpose, no world, and a soul. Nightmare gives him the option to get out of his abandoned, empty world. He accepts the offer but refuses to destroy anything or hurt people. Instead he finds another purpose. In return the Bad Sanses give him a home, companions, a life, and a name. They call him Ink.
Or: Before he can destroy his soul and enter the Doodle Sphere, Ink is recruited by Nightmare. He accepts his role as best he can, even if he sometimes feels like he is meant for something more.

Blue slammed the door shut the moment a parrot, of all things, tried to fly into his eye sockets. “OH, TORIEL! WHERE IN STAR’S NAME DID HE GET A PARROT FROM?!”
Now that the immediate danger was out of sight, Dream felt safe enough to approach. He cautiously walked up and helped Blue brush the orange glitter off his armour.
“I made the same mistake a day ago,” He said. “There was a tiger in my room!”

Summary
It’s been 494 years since Nightmare turned Dream into stone. Nightmare wakes up in the middle of the night to a sudden surge in positivity, realizing who it likely is, he decides to teleport straight to the source.
He finds his brother, but he hasn’t aged a day. Nightmare stares at the 6-year-old, actually seeing Dream makes him fully understand just how young both of them were at the time. He realizes neither of them was truly at fault for what happened, they were both just kids who needed someone to parent them.
This realization causes Nightmare to take Dream in, becoming the responsible adult they both needed.

(Just an FYI, this story was inspired by the book Wings of Fire, Winter Turning, despite this being an Undertale book. It’s why it’s tagged.The plot is pretty similar, so I would recommend if you are planning to read the book, do so before this one as to not give out spoilers. Hope you enjoy!)

After Error's disappearance, the Multiverse began to crumble, and as the months passed, everyone accepted that their world was going to end. But with the recent disappearance of Dream, it began crumbling faster. Ink, with the help of Blue, Nightmare and Cross, go to search for the missing guardian. But as they encounter a mysterious skeleton in the woods, who claims to know of Dream's location. But something seemed off about her... as if she isn't sure of who to trust.
