Summary
It is a month after his tenth birthday that his mother got ordered to stop working by their doctor. Jellal now had to take care of her and thus start working; leaving behind school and his childhood innocence. Honestly, he believed the adult world to be easier - he was wrong and realised it too late. Maybe becoming one of the Belserion's domestics was in the end worse than begging to be employed in the nearest factory.
But at least, he met Her in this mansion. Perhaps it was enough to overcome the rest.

He couldn't even care about how heartbroken Tsunade must be because of him. It didn't matter because no one would have cared, he was always supposed to be a monster, and Jiraiya was a hero. No one had ever cared about Jiraiya's ways, this wouldn't have been any different.
More importantly, he couldn't regret it because for the first time since he was thirteen, he could breathe and not feel on edge at being grabbed at any second. No more deals, no more hot and smelly breath on his face or neck.
