Summary
As the five year mission is coming to an end, Kirk and Spock must decide what to do next. Kirk thinks it would be fun to live in one of the Painted Ladies, a set of brightly colored Victorian houses in San Francisco, and asks Spock to join him. Instead of going to Gol or the VSA, Spock agrees to join Kirk.
This idea started out as a joke, but it turned more into an exploration of Kirk and Spock adjusting to life on Earth after living in space for so long. I'm cheating a little bit because Spock has some of his post Gol/V'ger character development, but I tried to keep it as timeline accurate as I could.
