Wow holy shit. This was phenomenal
This authors writing is always top notch, but the world building and characterisation in here is insane.
The world building from magic systems, magical creatures and royal customs were all interesting and easy to understand, but added so much layers and even foreshadowing. I like the fact that the angels are simply magic creatures and not biblical. I love the world building around the last unwed kiss.
The culture differences that led to confusion and obliviousness was so goood. Cas having no idea what he’s doing, that he’s flirting, even how to smile. And Dean is smitten and in love lol. Their relationship development was well done, natural and well balanced, considering one was lying a little, and I appreciate there wasn’t drawn out angst surrounding that. Just the perfect amount and then they talk, and are in the road to forgiveness.
I really enjoyed Sam’s character, and felt John and Mary were well done and characterised (meaning I hated John but he was well written lol). It was so sweet when Sam practised with his new power and put up a brave face, but the minute he was alone with Dean he allowed his weekness and worries to shine through and let his brother care for him. Their relationship was so well written.
I enjoyed all the side characters
Everything about this fic was just fantastic
Also crazy how so many words are dedicated only to a few days passing.

Okay damn.
The whole time I was reading this fic it felt super similar but apparently I’d never read it before which shocked me.
Really well done. It gets off to a kinda slow start but picks up steadily. Fav character was definitely Katsuki. He can never do wrong.
I feel so VINDICATED that I predicted the traitor cause there were so many red herrings for other people!!
This fic has all the things you want in a fic - bamf Izuku, great BKDK development, vigilante Izuku, villain Izuku, hero Izuku, etc. I’m sure for others a selling point would be dadzawa. I did originally enjoy that aspect but thennnn…. I did not like Aizawa in this fic - I think I’ve held a grudge on him since he was sus of Kacchan.
Anyways. I’ll end this off here. Great fic BUT ends cliff hangery/ neg ending - THERE IS A WORK 2 in progress

Okay wow. So far - took me 10 days ish to read the 850k words (with 3 chapters to go).
This has been phenomenal.
I’m sure there are many singing its praises, but even details like chapter titles - being music theory and tying into the vibe of the chapter and their love for classical music - this fic is so well thought out.

I especially want to touch on Tomura (I WANT TO BE CLEAR - if this was real life I would hate his guts BUT this is fiction so I’m allowed to contemplate his actions)
I can’t decide if Tomura did love Izuku or just had a fucked up perceived ownership and possession of him (similar to canon AFO and Yoichi without the incest undertones). Obviously Tomura did terrible things to Izuku, but was also raised in a fucked up way. Being given a child at 7 (very important developmental years) would of fucked up his brain chemistry, and obviously the way they were raised they never truly had loving relationships, which is why I’m stuck on if it was a sense of love or ownership, but regardless- the later half of the book, I kinda liked Tomuras character EXCEPT for the fact that he sold Izuku. But I like the way he interacted with Izuku in their complicated brotherly way.The world building is great and all the characters were perfectly characterised to this world.
I love the theme of fate that runs through the whole story - and how it all leads back to certain characters or places.
I need to learn to write down my feelings about long fics as I read cause I don’t remember all my feelings or certain things BUT
omg the chase from Izukus pov after the masquerade made me feel so much anxiousness? Terror? Stress? I felt what ever he was feeling. The tension build up from finally accepting his killing self for survival, saving the kids, being on the run, talking to nana, but then being on his own again. When Katsuki found him - omg - I was so tense when he escaped and the hotel - oooeee I was STRESSFD. Like omfg during that fight I felt Izukus terror and desperation like from seeing the tracker, to the shadow, to his ankles being grabbed AFSHSJAJA and when he gave up omggg my heart
Another scene that has stuck with me so hard is their snowball fight - I loved their whole on the run sequence. I was constantly tense just waiting for the other shoe to drop, but they had so many sweet moments. I loved their dates at Midnights, and their disposable camera moments. I kindaaa had a feeling that something was up with the original “safehouse” but I didn’t predict it fully so I wasn’t fully shook but I was O-O
AND OMG when they mentioned watching Romeo and Juliet I KNEW IT WOULD BE FORESHADOWING and then YOU SHOT KATSUKI AND I KNEW I KNEW I KNEW AND THEN AVAHSJSKAKSJSSJ I was so relieved that Katsuki didntttt give upppp in the church cause like URGH
But anyways. Excited to see the finish and have them reunite with Katsuma
But when I was thinking on it - I don’t remember Katsumas age but Izuku has kinda done to him what Mitsuki did to Katsuki…

I LOVE the whole plot - like it’s so well done.

Okay wowow loved this. Loved the characterisation of literally everyone and all of Izuku interactions with everyone. I love that it had the perfect balance of angst, fluff and comfort.
I loved Katsukis characterisation and his relationship with Izuku (im ignoring the whole “brother” part at the end. I’m fine with platonic, I draw the line at brotherly lol)
