There were more of them, in these hallways, she was certain. She remembered her own secondary school years as though through fog, but she’d never forget certain parts of it—the struggles of getting a diagnosis, the misery of seeing her body get worse; and then more bad news, all the while she tried to convince at least one teacher to call her Carmilla.
They only had Loreli. As much as they had appreciated that, it wasn’t enough; not when you were starved for someone who understood; who could show you their mobility aid or just smile with understanding at a story of being questioned, of being accused of not looking ‘disabled enough’.
So though she did not care for school and the people in it, Carmilla would do this. She would provide these children with the one thing she wished she had had: a fucking community.

He did not hear a single word Stolas may have said, and so he had no incentive to stay. Nothing to make him look back, nothing to even consider the notion.
Blitzø swung his legs over the balcony, let himself down little by little and then jammed his claws into the cracks of stone presenting themselves to him and then began the slow, arduous descent down and down and down into the garden, blessedly empty of a single soul to see his escape.
This was it. As long as he played it safe, he’d never have to think of the blasted owl again. That was for the best.
He’d never see Stolas again if he had any say in it.

Summary

A documentary crew wants to make Paris And Rory's Modern Stars Hollow Family anyway. Meanwhile, Rory goes slowly and quietly nuts. What an absurd thing to say to someone. It's back, like that was supposed to mean something. Tim hadn't heard from Ivy since he'd left for college. He hadn't been back to Derry since, a source of constant tension with his parents, who wanted him to visit home and couldn't seem to understand why Tim still fucking hated the place twenty years later. He could feel Derry like a gravity well, tilting him back towards childhood, back towards the worst moment.
"Fuck," Tim said. "I'll be there in the morning."
