“Sensei?”
“Yes, Yuuji-kun?”
“Could you stay with me until midnight?”
Satoru looked down, train of thoughts immediately halting. Yuuji’s gaze was lifted upwards and Satoru’s questioning eyes met Yuuji’s hopeful own. Yuuji’s blush crept even to the tips of his ears as he continued, feeling that Satoru still needed a further explanation. Despite the shake in his voice, Yuuji’s eyes lingered at Satoru’s, stubborn and fearful. “I… don’t want to leave sensei. Sensei is so nice and warm, and…” He hesitated, and his lips trembled again.
“And?” Satoru inquired, softly as not to prod.
“… And I just want to make sure this isn’t a dream…” Yuuji admitted, low and almost inaudible, but not to Satoru’s honed hearings.
