He keeps coughing, holding onto the edge of his bed for purchase, until finally, finally, whatever was in his throat comes up and out.
It was a flower petal.

Summary
A Reverse Robins story where Damian is Red Hood and we explore everything that comes with a life of trauma and pain where he doesn't have a Dick Grayson to show him what love is and that he deserves it.
(He still finds it, love, but it takes him much longer and much more pain)
Or alternatively where mitski (doesn't) take care of my and dami's mental health.
Because yes, all the stories are inspired by or have some kind of relationship with some verse from some mitski song.
