Sometimes when learning a new spell, Essek would correct and instruct Caleb on how to draw the somatic components, with the deciciveness he carried for magic. And sometimes, the drow would reach out to take hold of Caleb's hands while correcting him, and a shiver would run though the redhead wizard. He had always liked to give control to a partner he trusts. And Essek was good at drawing control, at instructing. His voice was rumbling and soothing. These traits had always drawn Caleb's attention.
Hence, when they were lounging together and comfortable, Essek carding his fingers through his complicated-friend-mirror-to-almost-boyfriend's hair, Caleb brought it up. Admitted that in close relationships, like the one they had grown into, he liked to be commanded. Asked that if Essek were amenable to it, he would like for him to take control.
