Asha walked in closer and turned left to see the King.
King Magnífico, not in his magnificence and royal gowns but instead in a simpler attire with his long wooden staff, consumed by some… animalistic instinct. He threw a bunch of books and chemical equipment that sat in a desk and grunted frustrated again. He opened a small door on the wall then —a dumbwaiter, she realised— and extracted something from it… a wish.
Asha’s breath hitched. She’d seen the ceremonies, the blue balls that exited people’s chests when the King’s staff commanded them to, she knew that from those balls all type of Wishing came, she’d seen the way the King held them, with such love and care but just then…
Crunch!
…Asha has known all her life that giving up Wishing was necessary but when the moment comes she’s unable to, instead she wishes upon a star, the Star answers. And it might not be such a bad thing after all.

AU set after the movie events, everything’s the same except Bruno doesn’t know what the limits of his gift are, so his younger self accidentally timetravels into the present/his younger self’s future, the only two problems are that
1) 50 year old Bruno falls into a trance because two Brunos can’t coexist in the same time period, and
2) It’s 5 year old Bruno who accidentally launches himself to the future

Summary
Have you ever heard a song and relate it strongly to a character that are actually just connected by a single thread of coherence and the rest is just ✨obsession✨?
That’s it. That’s my fic.
It’s basically, Bruno tells his mother she can burn in hell (yes, I do not like Alma that much)… by singing in two scenes an alteration of “Burn” and “First Burn”, why did I connect those two songs(song?) to Bruno?
My two threads of coherence:
A) Both Eliza and Bruno are characters that were made feel that they weren’t enough by someone they loved
B) Lin-Manuel MirandaHowever. However this is readable and… maybe even enjoyable?
Ps: the lyrics were obviously altered to fit what’s going on

Newt could see right away that his fears had been unfounded; this Greenie was already faring better than he had. He had a tense, determined look on his face, and he looked scared, but also ready. Ready to fight or run or do anything, really. His hands were held loosely down at his sides, but Newt saw them twitch and he knew the Greenie would be able to raise them at a moment’s notice.
Every boy in the Glade had a story. Newt's began long before Thomas came up in the Box, as he helped to build their world, found a family, and met the Runner who changed everything.

Summary
Mirabel knows the stories about her family’s past — her abuelo cut down by a power-hungry witch, her young tío tragically lost in the river during their escape. Over the years, she’s watched the Madrigals fracture at the edges because of Abuela’s fear of magic and the evil it attracts. All she wants is to fix things, and maybe visiting that long-abandoned village hidden among the mountains will show her how. She doesn’t expect to find someone living in the ruins — a skittish stranger with missing memories.
Maybe he doesn’t seem to have the exact same magical gift, and maybe she doesn’t quite believe it herself, but what if…Mirabel just assumes he’s her long-lost Tío Bruno anyway? She’ll teach him all about being a Madrigal, bring him home in time for Abuela’s birthday, finally put some of her family’s deep-rooted pain to rest, AND help a sweet, lonely man feel like he belongs somewhere too. What could possibly go wrong?
OR: Where Mirabel, sick of waiting on a miracle, decides to create one. And then she stumbles headfirst into a real one. Oh, and she also accidentally awakens a slumbering evil that still wants to kill her family and steal their magic. Whoops!
