Summary
Softness is not a thing preserved for Rumi. Emotional vulnerability ("You can open up to us, Rumi"), comfort, honesty ("Our faults and fears must never be seen, Rumi"), the gentle touch of Zoey's hand, the press of Mira's lips on her temple, the warmth of a hug she can let go in, all these things aren't to her taste. She doesn't like them.
Softness isn't an option for her, she's just not made for it. It's fine.
OR: Rumi accidentally opens up a bit then opens up alot and reveals her patterns.

Summary
Every since Zoey and Mira found out about her patterns, Rumi's noticed that their dynamic is... different.
Rumi tries to chalk it up to her seeing what their friendship is like when she's not building up walls, but it's a little more intimate that she thought it would be. Not only that, but she begins to suspect that Mira and Zoey might be romantically involved, and something about that makes her jealous, but she can't figure out what.
Mira is convinced that Rumi is still hiding something other than her patterns. All she knows is that it has something to do with the three of them.
Zoey thinks that all three are already dating and is trying to get Rumi to be more open to affection from the two of them, but she still seems apprehensive.

Zoey is quiet for half a second. “This is all really great information you’re giving me right now, Mir. Like, super compelling and awesome. And—you have to stop calling it your backyard when it’s literally a whole forest. Like, uh, an entire forest? Full-on-forest. Solidly not a backyard.”
“Well, it’s at the back of my house,” Mira says, almost helplessly. “I’m there. I need you to bring a trailer and come to my backyard. Like, the trailers for horses.”
“Dude,” Zoey sighs, but Mira can hear soft rustling noises, followed by the phone very clearly being set down. “Do I get to know why? You always do this to me! I swear to god if it’s a bear, Mira, I’m never going to talk to you again. You know I don’t rehabilitate bears. Do we even have bears here? Did you buy a bear just for me to have to take care of?”
“I wish I did,” Mira decides, bluntly. “That would be easier.”
Zoey makes a noise. “That’s not making me less worried, babe. I’ll be there in twenty.”
“Can you make it ten?”
“No, I cannot make it ten.”

Sussie squawked, and he hopped down to her dresser drawers. Rumi eyed him, not sure what the bird was up as he pecked at the handle. Before she could ask, though, Sussie got the drawer opened, and he hopped inside.
“What are you d—”
His little head emerged with a pacifier in his beak.
“Hey!” Rumi hissed, hopping to her feet. Her face burned as she ran after Sussie, but the bird flew over to her bed’s headboard. “Give me that!” Rumi fussed as quietly as she could. The last thing she needed to do was wake up Mira or Zoey with this. She snatched the pacifier out of Sussie’s beak and glared at him. “How’d you know about this?” she asked. Sussie squawked.

Summary
The Honmoon chooses two Hunters from every generation to fulfill their duty of keeping demons at bay and striving to create the Golden Honmoon. It is every Hunter’s ultimate goal to keep demonkind from the world permanently. Mira and Zoey are training under Celine as the duo Hunters of the Honmoon. They fell into the routine easily enough, though there is something that bothers them.
There’s someone else in the house with them. They never have to buy groceries, there’s another set of shoes by the door, and the smell of cooking can occasionally be smelled from behind the door separating them from the other side of the mansion. Celine is tight-lipped about their mysterious houseguest and, for the most part, Mira and Zoey ignore it.
Until they see a lilac-haired woman in the market one day. A lilac-haired woman with demonic patterns.
That one encounter sets into motion a new friendship and defines their unique group, the Honmoon trio who will truly fix the world. Mira and Zoey aren’t Huntrix without their demonic center leading the charge against Gwi-ma’s forces.

Silenced by grief, Rumi’s world is transformed when she crosses paths with Mira and Zoey, who guide her toward a voice she thought was lost forever.
