“Detective Decker?” A stranger’s voice broke her out of her zoning and made Chloe look up, eyes widening at the woman before her. “Hi, I’m looking for Lucifer. I’ve been told he’s your partner.” The woman said with a tone of question.
She blinked a couple times, trying to get her mind out of the file she was supposed to be filing. Right, stranger - hot stranger – looking for Lucifer. Just another ordinary Friday, then.
Chloe's day had been quite boring and filled with paperwork until Lucifer’s siblings decided to show up at the precinct and turn everything upside down. When she’d woken up that day, she didn’t know she might lose everything before the day was over.

Trixie was having nightmares, and Lucifer would do everything in his power to help the little girl. Even buy way too much christmas lights for her. Not that he’d tell anyone that he cared for a human child, mind you.

Chloe runs Lux after Lucifer’s departure for Hell at the end of S4. Beautifully written, very short.

Summary
In this AU, inspired by the work Where the Morning Star Fell, Lucifer has mysteriously developed bipolar disorder at some unknown time before a suicide attempt in February 2018. Linda, in her capacity as a psychiatrist; Amenadiel; and Michael, who has been secretly working as a surgeon in Los Angeles for two years after being abruptly dismissed from his Heavenly duties by God, work to settle him and make sense of how an angel could have seemingly suddenly developed this while multiple stressors bloom around them, threatening Lucifer's stability and what's left of Michael's blind faith in their Father.
During the series, which starts in July 2017 when Trixie is 8, Lucifer and Chloe get married in July 2018 and have their younger daughter, Aurora, in April 2019.
There is a lot of focus on the traumatic sequelae of Lucifer's fall from Heaven and alienation from his family of origin as well as his unwillingness to allow his loved ones to know that Linda diagnosed him with complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD) in late 2016.
It ends in 2058, almost fifteen years after Chloe's death.
