“Don’t listen to him,” said the clouds. “This big ball of gas doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
“Yes, I do,” said the sun. “Who but me makes the roses grow?”
“We do,” said the clouds. “Love nourishes, like the rain. We turn the hills green and fill the creeks so they will sing in their creekbeds.”
“Why do you ask?” said the sun.
“I think I might be in love,” said the moon. “I am trying to understand.”

Summary
Could she, could they, really abandon all that? For something so fragile as love? For something that broke, so fundamentally, the foundations of the tradition on which the people they’d grown up as had been built on?
Ursula looked back at Heart. Saw the lines of her face, the curve of her neck, the glimmer of her blood red scales, the sharpness of her bone white horns which sprouted majestically from the back of her skull. Remembered the feeling of her scales softly scraping against her naked skin when they had first made love, the warmth of Heart’s chest as she held Ursula against her, the look in her eyes as she confessed a desire so despised by their order and the shock returned to her as Ursula had responded in kind with no care given to the consequences.

Can she really do this, can she sacrifice everything for the love of Heart? And how does Heart feel about leaving the Order? Does she feel like she can just up and leave the order?
