Summary
The Pokémon World had gone through many drastic events over the ages, but the most significant event since the end of the Anthropocene Era was the emergence of strange powers that came to be known as “Quirks”.
It all started over a century ago, when a baby Abra was born with the strange ability to emit light out of their body, and soon after, more Pokémon all over the world started manifesting strange powers, which would later come to be called Quirks, and nowadays roughly 80% of the global population had one.
Unfortunately for a little Eevee with messy green fur named Izuku Midoriya, he was part of the 20% who didn’t.
TL; DR: My Hero Academia, but everyone is a Pokemon
Updates weekends, but VERY sporadically. May update weekdays during break/holiday periods. EDIT: For those of you having trouble keeping up with everybody's species, here's a list that has everyone up till the latest chapter.

Midoriya Izuku is a quirkless child, blind from birth. Yagi Toshinori is the most powerful man in the world, loved by millions. They could not be more different, and yet their loneliness is the same.
From a pair of AU posts on Tumblr that got way out of hand; I wanted to put it here because it turned into more of a fic than a "what-if." Please look at the first chapter note before reading/rereading because I had no idea face touching wasn't a thing and isn't seen as very good representation; my apologies!

The small figure sputtered and coughed. “A mouse?! What part of me looks like a mouse, kid?”

Izuku paused, really taking in what he could in the dim lighting. This wasn’t a mouse, but a very gaunt and skinny man with bright blond hair and piercing blue eyes. A tiny man. He was shorter than the length of the pen Izuku held tightly in his fist. “Oh. Oh! You’re not a mouse. You’re a very small man. Is that your quirk? Are your parents small too? Where do you live? What do you eat? Did you go to school like everyone else?”’
—--A Borrowers inspired tiny people AU. All Might suddenly disappears from the public eye. Two years later, Izuku’s father moves him to the countryside for ‘Quirk Rehabilitation'.’ Mr. Midoriya is anything but kind about it. The funny thing is, there seems to be a very small, blond, man living in the cottage as well. Is it possible for a very tiny hero to still save one child in need? Is it possible for that boy to save the very tiny hero in return?

Midoriya Inko tragically dies and Izuku is left reeling and completely alone, his father in America too indifferent to bother with taking care of his son. All Might made a promise to Inko after the Kamino Ward incident that he would take care of Izuku, and he intended to keep that promise.
OR: All Might becomes Izuku Midoriya's parental guardian. (in more ways than just on paper)

Toshinori never planned to have children of his own. But 7-year-old Izuku Midoriya found his way into his heart, and then into his home. He tries his best for him, and he tries to be the parental figure the boy needed. The two quickly warmed up to each other, seemingly filling out the missing holes in each other's lives.
But the thing about raising a child is that they tend to wander. And parents will inevitably make mistakes.
