Summary
Dean Winchester grew up learning all about all the monsters that lurk in the dark, and more about the ones that can hide plain in sight. Witches, demons, shifters, changelings, even creatures nobody’s ever heard of. Dean gave his entire life to hunting them, with a few simple comforts to ease the way. The Impala. Music. Whiskey. Women. Not wine, but beer’s good. A sliver of freedom. He also took comfort in knowing that, of all the horrors of the world, vampires aren’t real. Of all the things Dean had to be grateful for, that those suckers were just a myth, definitely makes the top 10. Alone and injured after a hunt gone wrong, Dean is already at rock bottom when his father calls in distress—only for it to drop as suddenly as it began.
A dead-end case. An eerie town. An impossible monster. A missing father. And one ragged Dean, struggling to string it all together.

Summary
Author Castiel Novak’s comfortable routine gets completely disrupted when he spots that his neighbor has fallen off his roof. His neighbor with gorgeous green eyes and a smile that always stirs a flutter in his chest. His neighbor of three years, who he always became inexplicably tongue-tied around that he never got a chance to even trade names with. His neighbor, probably the only other person on their street that lives alone and so rarely has guests over, and seemingly none who are from around.
Worried that the man Castiel’s been pining over has no one else to take care of him, Castiel follows him to the hospital and is ready to put everything in his admittedly less than eventful life on hold to ensure the man’s safety. But Dean Winchester isn’t what Castiel expects, and Castiel can’t tell if this disruption will put his career at jeopardy if he fails to meet the upcoming deadline for his next book, or if it’s somehow exactly what he needs.

Castiel nods and gingerly takes the knife from Dean’s hand, and if Dean didn't know any better he would think it the caution of a man who has never handled a knife in his life, but Dean does know better, and he knows that Cas knows just how to use that knife in a way that hurts.
Dean swallows.

Castiel, a sarcastic and quiet bartender at a queer club, doesn’t intend to fall for the club’s newest drag queen. Cherrie Pye, however, clearly doesn’t care about Castiel’s intentions. She’s all glitter and attitude – strutting onto the stage and into Castiel’s heart like she owns the place.

Dean nods. He goes to one knee, then the next, kneeling in front of Castiel. Digging a pocket knife out of his front jeans pocket, Dean opens it up and flips it around handle-first, holding it out at the same time that he tilts his head for ear to meet shoulder, his neck bared.
Castiel’s mind suddenly goes very blank, with a ringing in his ears.
“Well?” Dean asks, his voice only slightly shaking. “You waitin’ for a written invitation?”Or: After the possession, some of Michael's grace is still in Dean. Castiel offers to help him out.

Summary
Castiel, an overworked and underpaid sales rep for Sandover Bridge & Iron, is daily tortured by his cubicle-mate (read: mortal enemy), Dean. When Dean’s not actively making his life worse by using and abusing his office supplies, his picture at the top of the sales pyramid is taunting him. It’s a reminder to Cas of his own inadequacy always lurking in the corner of his eye that only further stokes the flames of his hatred for Dean, causing things to get a bit stabby.
When the two are tapped for a special project about building positive relationships in the workplace, they’re forced to figure out a way to become friends so they can sell it. Amidst all the praise they receive for their workshop, a potential promotion is put on the table between them, threatening the delicate balance they maintain as they teeter on the tightrope of societal expectations, and neither is sure if their budding relationship can survive the impact with the ground below.
The popularity of their workshop eventually sees the two men on a national stage and the more time they spend together, the closer they ultimately get until neither man can recognize the relationship they began with, and things once again get a bit stabby.
