He lands in some dark, dirty alley, on his back, with a grunt of pain.
“Jesus,” he moans. “I’m getting too fucking old for this.”
He climbs to his feet, rubbing his back. He stumbles out of the alley, running his knuckles over the bond bite on his neck, which throbs insistently.
He finally comes upon two women, chatting on the corner of one of the streets.
“Excuse me?” he calls out.
The girls turn to him and give him identical looks of disdain.
“Yes?” one of them says, with a raised eyebrows that speaks volumes as to how much she doesn’t want to be talking to him.
In her defence, though, he imagines he doesn’t look like much, with his dirty workshop clothes, messy hair and bond bite in full view.
Vulgar, his mother would have said.
“Where am I?” he demands.
“Brooklyn,” she replies, coldly.
He hates the next question. “What year?”
She eyes him like he’s a complete and utter lunatic. “1938.”

It's just a normal day for billionaire, genius, superhero Tony Stark. A morning of coffee, distracting Super-Soldiers and an argument over novelty mugs before he heads to Greenwich Village to chat with a certain sorcerer. Of course, it all goes to shit when stumbles across the wrong higher dimensional being, and he somehow finds himself seventy-five years in the past. With no armored suit, money or place to go, Tony isn't sure what to do. Until he stumbles across a group of men in an alley who are standing around a small figure with blonde hair and familiar blue eyes.
Seriously, what had been in that coffee?
An opportunity for a different first impression allows him a new look at his future teammates and gives Tony the chance to realize some things about himself along the way.
Still, screw magic.

Summary
Tony tries to navigate his way through the V-type polyamory he's found himself in dating Bucky who is also dating Steve. Never let it be said that he's not handling the entire situation reasonably. He even pulled some (a lot of) strings to get Steve extended time off as a surprise.
If only the nagging doubts didn't threaten to pierce his heart as he's reminded of the decades of history between Steve and Bucky. If only Steve didn't insist on being so goddamn perfect and sending Tony's thoughts into a tailspin.

Summary
HYDRA didn't create only one magic-user while in possession of Loki's scepter. There's another, and his powers are... a little different from Wanda's. The Avengers crew breaks into a HYDRA base to rescue Tony, who was kidnapped three weeks ago. Only, he isn't the way he was when he left them to go check out the place. Instead, he's now five and a half years old. And he's absolutely terrified of Steve. The Avengers do what they can to keep little-Tony happy until they can get Strange to come take a look at him, and (hopefully) change him back to his rightful age. It's not so easy dealing with a traumatized five-year-old, though, especially one who has some major attachment issues. Toward Bucky, of all people. Throw in some HYDRA shenanigans, and it makes for an interesting time, if not the most peaceful. Older-Tony isn't going to appreciate how much little-Tony blabs, either, but it's pretty hard to tell a five-year-old to shut up when no one wants to hurt his feelings...
