Summary
It has been three months since Vox had been forcibly taken back to Vee Tower, any and all memory of Alastor erased.
Alastor is still struggling to rationalise a plan to get Vox to remember him, their relationship, and get him back. Opting to pretend everything is fine and that he isn’t still heartbroken for now. Until he figures out what to do.
Fortunately, Alastor has eyes on the inside to ensure Vox was safe, at the very least.Vox is… not coping well with being out of the spotlight and being relegated to behind the scenes tasks. The door swung open wide. Alastor stood in the doorway, grinning as always. “Vincent! I was wondering if you’d come to see me again!”
Vox’s chest fluttered at Alastor’s recognition. “I did everything you said, Alastor. I *became* everything you said.”
“Did you ever! You’ve been all the buzz for months, young man. It’s been quite the spectacle!”
Vox’s cheeks went blue. He had never expected to receive this much validation from Alastor, and it made him feel both proud and incredibly vulnerable. “Thank you! It was all thanks to your advice, you know.”
“Oh, no, darling, it was all you. All I did was… give you a push.” He leaned in close enough that Vox could taste his breath. It was oddly intoxicating.
“The question now is-” Alastor drawled. “Are you satisfied now that you are an Overlord? Or are you still hungry for more power?”
Vox’s pulse raced with adrenaline. He looked into the Radio Demon’s eyes and said, “Oh, I am hungrier than ever.”
Alastor chuckled. “That’s what I expected from you. Come in. Let’s talk.”
