They’re watching a movie the first time Satoru notices it.
Yuuji has finished the can of Pringles but instead of putting it down, he’s been—for the last several minutes—taking a bite out of the cardboard, tearing it off, then letting it fall out of his mouth and flutter into his lap. His hand that is resting on top of the cursed puppet is covered yet the teenager doesn’t seem to notice, eyes transfixed on the screen even as he tears off another piece.
To say he’s mesmerized would be an understatement. Because quite simply, what the fuck. He’s not even watching the movie, blindfolded eyes stuck on this weird ritual.
