By June, High King Benjamin is practically begging them to allow him to bring in the Auradon knights to find Mal, after failing to right this wrong by himself. In that same month, he declares Audrey Rose Greystone and Chad Charming Jr. fugitives and dangerous criminals. On September, his knights finally succeeded. They found Mal.
