“Oh.” Phil says, for lack of words, because it’s been a bit of a while since he’s seen kids. Three pairs of wide eyes stare back at Phil, terror given at the bloody display before them, the fangs of his teeth bared, the red splattered over his lips, the still warm body held in his claws.
“Oh, hello.” Phil grins. The smallest one opens his mouth and screams.
(Or, Vampire!Phil is trying to get by in a zombie apocalypse with the great lack of humans. He decides to try raising his own food supply, after finding three kids. It’s definitely not adoption. No, not at all. (Well, maybe just a bit.))

They are not something that can be taken from the universe by force, they must be given. They are given to only the most capable, to the worthy.
And Techno just woke up with wings.
OR
AU where wings are a sign of being blessed by the gods or something along those lines. The royal family are the only ones to ever have wings, but the universe decides to have a bit of fun, and gives Techno some.
This causes some issues, considering the fact the royal family hears of Techno's new wings, and then deems him to be family. Even if Techno doesn't think the same.

But there's something not quite right about this Tony and how he reacts to the team, the way he flinches away from Bucky or shakes when Steve picks up the shield or won't turn his back to Clint and Natasha.

The two guards tossed the body on the ground in the middle of the room. It took Tony a moment to realize that the body wasn’t just small, it was a child. A girl, perhaps five or six years old, unconscious and dressed in filthy rags that barely passed for a shirt and skirt, bruises visible on every inch of exposed skin. If it weren’t for the tiny whimper she gave upon hitting the ground, he would’ve thought she was dead.
“A gift?” Tony asked, projecting his confusion over his rage. “Why would I want a kid?”

Close to his 30th year, he is about to enter the mating season of his life, and yet he's stuck on this desolate, dirty rock with this rabble of a species. Until one of them saves his life and he's determined to repay the debt to the human who he only saw briefly before he ran away into the ruins of the dead city.

But still, there is something disgustingly innocent when you glance over at the Saviors, and stood too dumb to be afraid, because you certainly didn't think it was bravery leading you stand in front of all of those guns. There's the devil you know, and the devil you don't.
This is a story in which the Saviors take their least successful hostage, which confuses Negan to no end, because he's certain you're important. Important enough to brand, anyway.

The girl stood still. There was a gentle tap-tap echoing in the air as she observed the room. Her fingers were wet, and her toes squished unconsciously into the puddle beneath her, an age-old habit from a childhood spent playing in the water. It was wildly inappropriate in the current situation, her mind helpfully pointed out.
Tap tap tap.
The noise mocked her. She inhaled a breath, disrupting the sound, and turned her eyes away from the tableau before her. Her fingers clenched into fists. Unhelpful, she couldn’t help but notice. The skinny little hands that sat at the end of her equally short arms were virtually useless. Tiny fingers unable to clench anything, palms to small to hold anything. Useless.
Tap tap tap.
The girl inhaled again, flexing bloody fingers into the cold air. She eyed the floor once more, or more accurately, the bloody mess that covered the floor. Her toes squished again.
OR: A girl is promptly horrified to learn that she has been reborn into Hannibal universe and is fairly certain of her impending death. She really shouldn't have gotten attached to the man that is now apparently her father.

This is how it all starts. This is how Tony ends up with a young, mute Peter running amok in the tower vents and cuddling him into submission. All Tony had wanted to do was help a sad little city upgrade its infrastructure and gain some quality of life improvements. Who would have thought a charity mission could turn from boring to intriguing in the time it takes for a vent to creak overhead?
This series is just shameless cuddles with some story progression thrown in for funsies, and this is how it all began. Future installments are likely to be one shots involving Peter, Tony, and the bewildered Avengers who just want a normal goddamn home life.
