“Yeah, you can’t bring a woman to orgasm with just a kiss, that’s for sure...” Alix concluded, frowning, as if she didn’t really want to believe her own conclusions.
“And if it were possible,” Alya picked up, “Then it would happen to women all the time, and we would have no reason to even argue about it.”
Felix chuckled in his chair, not looking up from the book he was supposedly reading, but Marinette thought that the sound rather concerned their conversation, because his expression wasn’t one of fascination with reading, but skepticism.
“Do you want to say something, Fathom?” She demanded in a defiant voice, as she normally spoke to Adrien's cousin, because Felix was usually right in their arguments and Alya didn’t like to admit her defeat.
“Oh, no, Miss Cesaire,” the man drawled, “I nearly witnessed the most trivial logical error that can be made and was amused by it,” he explained.

“Maybe I’m one of those women who started with a dress but haven’t yet learned to either repel those who are disgusting to them or attract those they want...” She muttered quietly, without raising her eyes to him. “But that doesn’t mean I don’t have a chance to learn it one day...” She bit her lip, as if lost in her thoughts, because this action threatened to quickly rub off her lipstick and she clearly didn’t realize it.
Another thing she didn’t realize was that this action of hers also threatened the safety of his peace, because Felix instantly locked his eyes on the abused lip, desperate to bite it himself…

Ladybug looked away, slightly taken aback by his assumption. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, Chat...” She muttered, trying to quickly recover from her surprise and return to a confident position, which, she had to admit, the heat that rushed into her face didn’t help at all.
“Riiiight...” Her friend drawled with a knowing tone. “Don’t think I didn’t notice the thoughtful-dreamy glances you’ve been giving him lately.”

“I can handle it by myself!” He declared, probably trying to sound menacing, but the girl saw that he was arguing with her with his last strength.
“Well, you clearly can’t!” She insisted, starting to lose her temper. “You need a doctor!”
“Then you will be my doctor.” Felix breathed out, closing his eyes again. “After all, it’s your fault that I got sick.”
“Mine?!” Marinette exclaimed again in disbelief. “How is it my fault?!”
“Forget it.” Felix grumbled dismissively without opening his eyes. “Just make a cool bath for me. Lots of water should take the heat off.”
“We’ll come back to this conversation when you feel better!” The girl stated, pleased that at least he cooperated with her in something.
After all, the first priority was still to bring down his fever.

“And why would I bring coffee for all of them?” He asked with an annoyed voice, finally slipping the cup into her hand and letting it go.
“And why would you bring coffee for me?” She asked with the same suspicion with which she was still looking at the cup of heavenly drink in her hands, which instantly warmed her palms in the chilly London wind.
“Lest you fall asleep on my shoulder and wrinkle my suit, obviously.” Felix replied as if it should’ve been understood even without explanation, and got on the bus, walking past her.
Oh.
Right.
That explains it...
Of course the coffee he brought was just to keep his flawless suit flawless! And how even for a second it could have seemed to her that Felix Fathom – always cold and impartial – was capable of caring for someone other than himself.

“I’m right here,” he assured, holding her tightly. “I’m okay.”
“You’re okay,” she repeated, but she couldn’t believe it. Not when the memory of him going still and stiff in her arms was so fresh and alive behind her eyelids each and every time she blinked.
Her cries came harder and faster, and she didn’t understand it. He was okay. She was okay! But her body wouldn’t stop shaking and her throat was closing off anyway. Her breath came in ragged panicked intervals.
Chat Noir cradled her face with a hand and urged her face towards his, the pad of his thumb brushed away her tears. “Look at me.”
She did as he said, and god, his eyes were so green – the color of spring grass, the color of sparkling emeralds, the color of life. They held no judgment or frustration, only soft concern, and so much care and love that she trembled.
He was only a finger width away. She could feel his breath on her nose and cheeks, but she wanted more. Needed more. She needed to feel something real and raw, anything other than the horrifying fear that they had almost lost in the worst possible way.
Without thought, she closed the distance between them.
