Who is Skull? He's the actor, the stageman, the showman.
But before he was Skull, he was-
And before he was Cloud, he had-He had a family (shattered, torn, scattered across the earth).
He had a mother who loved him (so much darkness and hidden pain in her eyes, she was already gone even when he had him right there for as short of a time as it was).
He had a father (smiling, always smiling, but it turned bitter and brittle when he thought the child wasn't looking) who took pride in him.But that was before he became an Arcobaleno, before he became Skull.
The weakest, a civilian thrown out among the sharks. A no one in the mafia. A crybaby. A Lackey.
And above it all, human.He may have had been born to a different name, different life, but this is his life now.
He is Skull. For Skull is all anyone will ever see again. -

Born a hero in Ancient Greece, Perseus ascended. A mirror of his sister Rhode, he is married off to Apollo, the sun god. Thought not a protested marriage, he gains a centuries oath of Fidelity from him. A century they spend, happy.
Until even that ended, and his husband strayed so very often.
Trapped within a now one-sided marriage, his Father's protection no longer shelter him from the mocking laughs and cruel looks from the rest of Olympus. Slowly, illness sets in, divinity fading with time as his name is slowly erased from memory.
Then a quest of Heroes stumble upon his cavern.

Summary
Percy Jackson is twenty-eight when he dies. He would be at peace with that if it meant he got to be reunited with his friends who all died years ago, but instead, the fates spite him.
He's thrown into a new world. A world where the mist was never created, and the gods rule with startling cruelty. The Poseidon of this world lost his Percy in the war years ago, and seems determined not to lose this one, no matter what Percy has to say about it.
And worst of all, a golden tattoo of a familiar name rests over his heart, a sign from the fates. A sign of ownership.

After taking two steps out of Tartarus, Percy ascended, which made winning the Giant War much easier but his personal life much harder. Everything he knows about himself and the world has shifted, but Apollo is one of the few things that makes the idea of living forever not as terrible.
or: a slice-of-life story featuring Apollo teaching Percy to be a god while Percy teaches Apollo what it means to be human, as they fall further and further in love with each other (set after HoO and is part of a series that will make very little sense without the first two parts
