It’s so obvious. ‘I had to reciprocate’ – that sounds suspiciously like rich guy used his money and influence to put me into an awkward situation and I had no choice. Clark expected better from Bruce ‘my nickname is philanthropist billionaire and I’ve donated to every charity of the country’ Wayne but apparently you can’t trust anyone. -

It’s not like he ever asked them to interact with him. Why do they keep doing it, if it’s so painful for them? What – do they think he’s some sort of wild animal they need to appease? Do they think he’ll go on a fucking rampage if they stop bothering him?
Jason’s anger stays burning and bright for as long as it takes him to realise that he’s reacting exactly like they fear he will. It then melts into a poison he forces himself to swallow.
He’s dangerous now, isn’t he? He doesn’t get to be angry. He should understand that they’re only trying to keep everyone safe. The easier way.

He can’t understand what Bruce-Definitely-Not-In-Full-Possession-Of-His-Faculties was thinking, but the only thing he’ll agree about with the man is that no one can ever know.

Summary
Blade-Three, also known as Three, is the living weapon of the Watchers. Conditioned to follow orders, it is meant to use its considerable strength, combat abilities, and total loyalty to obliterate the enemies of the Watchers. Of course, the "following orders" part comes first, which is how, when Listener agent Martyn InTheLittleWood comes along with the right command words, he manages to steal it.
Now, instead of missions that make any sense, Three must navigate as Martyn and his roommate Jimmy attempt to teach it how to be human, or at least enough of a person to be itself. It would help if either Martyn or Jimmy knew how to be human either, and if they weren't falling apart at the seams after the death of an old friend.
(And of course, there's the matter of Three's original identity, a question no one thinks to ask...)
Or: in which Evo had a bad end, and five years later, the pieces that were left behind start to accidentally fall back together.
