Although, somehow, this gala was particularly strange. According to Bruce, Oliver “The Fucking” Queen had organized it to introduce the fiancé of his adoptive son: Roy Harper-Queen.
Jason had seen him a few times. Good guy. Definitely someone who came from the streets.
He was like Jason… if Jason had let wealth go to his head and spent his time burning through Dad’s money in luxury cars, taking every Omega he crossed paths with for a ride.
Not exactly husband material. Jason only agreed to go to the gala because he wanted to see what kind of disaster involving lovers and jealous exes would unfold.
He never, under any circumstance, expected to see Dick hanging off Harper-Queen’s arm.

Jason hated teenagers.
Okay, no, scratch that. Jason was terrified of the hormonal, trauma-infested mess that were the five teenagers currently sitting in the Watchtower’s briefing room.
Maybe all normal teenagers were like this, and Jason had just never been around any. You know—dying burned alive and all that kind of robs you of some developmental milestones.
Or maybe it was because those teenagers were supposed to be older than Jason himself, not a bunch of out-of-control kids who were, without a single shred of doubt, completely drunk.

Those blue eyes locked onto Jason’s. It was like Dick could see right through his soul. Maybe he could. The whole soulmate thing was still new to Jason, so he had no idea what Dick might see when he looked at him.
“So,” Dick began, his voice lazy and rough from sleep (or maybe from how hoarse it had gone after what they’d done that night). Jason shoved that thought to the back of his mind. “Soulmates, huh?”

A collective gasp filled the room in an instant.

Dick didn't remember when Slade put away his mask.
Dick felt a shiver run down his spine. He knew this was not a selfless act of charity. Slade Wilson never did anything without getting something in return. It was literally the description of being a mercenary.
"But there's 'But', isn't there?" He asked humorlessly. But trying to smile.
Well, here I bring the continuation of this series.
