Summary
When the performance comes to a close, there's no stopping the curtains from falling over the stage. This performance was a good one, Pierrot thinks, for as surprisingly anti-dramatic as his ending became. Filled with struggle, strife, love, remorse, hatred, and plenty of action.
But just when Pierrot thinks his curtains are closing, someone stops the rope and opens them back up. His performance isn't over yet. Someone is still watching. Whether she wants to or not is none of Pierrot's concern, however.
No, not when she gives him that clarity he lost so long ago. A drop of pure sanity in that roaring, raging mind of his. Barely clinging onto what's left of his lost mind. Pierrot thought it would never end, but perhaps...

Years and years did nothing but solidify the idea that it didn’t matter if you stayed. At this point, living hurt.

Summary
What does one do when they're finally chosen?
Harlequin has no idea as his chase after Pierrot's little interest comes to a screeching halt as they turn to him with feelings he's never had to face before.
It felt less like a chase and more like a participation reward with how easy it was, but now there's something else pulling him to their side aside from taunting Pierrot with something he will never have.
