Summary
[REDACTED] years ago, Edward and Alphonse Elric entered their father's laboratory in an attempt to save their mother's life using the same methods their father used several years beforehand. It goes wrong, and Hohenheim performs a highly experimental and very taboo surgery to save their lives before taking off, because deep down he's still kind of a deadbeat.
Now equipped with an automail heart and body respectively (as well as suffering from a minor case of immortality), Ed and Al zig-zag their way across the known universe, having adventures and picking up strays. All while they try to avoid running into the other immortals bobbing around the various galaxies.
