Today hadn't been particularly out of the ordinary in terms of Ankh-Morpork. Nothing exciting other than a few guild complaints and the usual dry and boring meetings.
But for Havelock, things weren't as easy.
Today was also the anniversary of the death of his beloved pet, Wuffles, a small wire-haired terrier. He had lost his only friend.
