Summary
Merlin generally does his best to stay out of magical affairs, or at least, he likes to think he does. But after one chance encounter in Diagon Alley, a seemly incompetent new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, and a fight in a bookstore, Merlin finds himself starting a new position as the History of Magic professor at Hogwarts. Unfortunately, he also finds himself under heavy suspicion from both Harry and his friends and members of Hogwarts's staff when the Chamber of Secrets is mysteriously opened once again.
