The shrine of the harvest was silent until the wind turned against it.
A storm gathered without rain, warm and dry like desert heat, stirring the golden wheat fields surrounding Aleena’s temple. The scent of blooming clover and ozone trailed in its wake, unnatural for the season because spring had just fled her domain.
Inside the temple, heavy doors slammed open with a divine gust. Sonic, god of the winds and spring, darted down the marble halls, each step a blur of movement as he pressed a hand to his aching belly. He winced as another cramp coiled low in his abdomen, sharper this time, deeper. The pains started sporadic days ago, with waves of pressure he’d stubbornly dismissed as false labor.
Only there was nothing false about this.
The hoglet was coming.
And he wasn’t in the underworld.

They couldn’t hold a funeral. There was no time and nobody to bury. Instead, Amy had put together a simple celebration of life: a picture of Sonic in a black frame surrounded by bouquets of lantanas, sunflowers, and lavenders on a table. Long candles flanked the display, coating everything in an eerie, ethereal glow. It was a beautiful monument to one of their greatest heroes.
Shadow despised the memorial with every ounce of his being....

...Lelouch's frown deepened into a scowl, and his eyes narrowed even more. That was a lie. He was not stunning, far from it...
...Lelouch sniffed imperiously and tried to ignore the growing blush on his face. "Yes, well, unfortunately, your opinion holds little weight. As Britanna's only representative, I have to stand before the world and ask if the country can join the UFN now that we have met its prerequisites, this pregnant."
AKA: It's the day of the UFN assembly. Everything is set for Britannia to join the UFN as a member. The only problem is that Lelouch is nine months pregnant and on the verge of giving birth to the future heir of the newly reformed Britannian Empire. It should be fine, though. All Lelouch has to do is make a speech before an assembly of his former allies and go home. If only he would stop having all these false contractions.

Rouge sat in the dim glow of her laptop, the only light in her apartment emanating from the blue flicker of the screen. Her fingers moved swiftly, bypassing security clearances and decrypting files that hadn’t been accessed in decades. She’d done this a thousand times before, delving into the skeletons of GUN’s past. She didn’t expect to uncover anything. Not really. It was buried in the deepest, darkest corners of GUN’s archival database, so meticulously concealed that it was evident they never wanted anyone to find it. Not even Rouge, with all her experience, could have anticipated it. A chill ran down her spine as she read the file.

Rouge found Maria's remains. Shadow will stop at nothing to bring Maria home. Sonic has to keep Shadow from allowing the pains of his past to consume him.

Facing off against Eggman? Just another Tuesday.
But this? Racing through the jungle in the dead of night, every second feeling like an hour. In his arms was Shadow, who had just given birth, and a newborn hoglet cradled in Shadow’s arms, all of them covered in sweat, blood, and other bodily fluids.
Yeah. That was new.
“Hang on, Shadow, just a little longer. We’re almost there!” Sonic's voice was a mix of worry and determination, his heart pounding as he urged Shadow to hold on.
Shadow moaned, half-conscious. Sonic didn’t know if Shadow understood what he was saying. A painful, pitiful cry came from Shadow’s arms, where the hoglet was wrapped up in Sonic’s bandana. Sonic pushed himself to go faster, knowing time was of the essence. As the jungle blurred by the shallow gasps of Shadow and the far too-small and sickly hoglet echoing in his ears, Sonic couldn't help but wonder how he got here.

Sonic ran his dirty, gloved hand over his heavy, swollen belly, feeling the kicks and wiggles just under his touch. The hoglet rested deep in his pelvis, ready to be born. His waters had broken hours before, garnering Eggman and the masked jackal’s attention. They had come to his lonely cell hours before to watch him pace his small cell.
When Sonic was captured six months ago, he didn't know he was pregnant. Now, with little hope of rescue, he is about to give birth.

He doesn’t know if they are his own, Bee’s, or Elita’s, but it doesn’t matter. Dee’s body moves faster than his processor does. Orion was falling over the edge and into the Well of All Sparks. The impact of Dee’s blast pushed Orion further from his reach forever.

The setting sun flooded the dark living room with its light, blinding Obi-Wan momentarily. When his eyes finally adjusted to the brightness, he was rewarded with the most heartwarming sight.
Anakin was sitting in the comfy rocking chair in the corner of the room, farthest from the door, with his eyes closed and cradling the sleeping children in his arms, a content smile on his lips. Warm sunlight streamed from the opening windows and illuminated Anakin’s warm, tan skin, giving him a glow. The rays of sunlight also appeared to illuminate his golden strains of dark honey hair, giving him a halo-like effect. He almost looked like an angel happily protecting his precious cherubs, much like the most precious treasure they were. A warm, sleepy, happy feeling filled the little room, the force was peaceful in this room. The three of them were fast asleep. Leia contentedly sucked on her thumb while holding one of Luke’s hands. At the same time, Luke had his other hand fisted tightly into Anakin's tunic. Obi-Wan smiled and leaned against the door.
