Summary
When pushed to her limit and realising that nobody cares enough to save her, Taylor breaks and gains superpowers in a very, very public Trigger Event. Able to transform into and manipulate light, she can cross a continent in the time it takes to blink an eye, yet cannot find her place in the world.
The only silver lining is the discovery that her uncle is a member of the Triumvirate, and through the pulling of strings, maybe she can start anew. Her life in Brockton Bay may be wrecked, but perhaps as a member of the New york Wards she can find somewhere, or someone, where she can rebuild and learn to trust others again.

When the woman was four blocks away, she stopped running and looked up at Batwoman and Black Bat on the roof, the wisps of the black cloud that had been surrounding her dissipating in an instant. The three woman were motionless, staring at each other. Batwoman broke the silence, muttering quietly. "What the hell? There's no way she spotted us, it's a new moon." Black Bat's hand drifted towards her grappling hook and the woman suddenly took off down a side alley, away from the two of them.
Skitter gets transported to Gotham after Gold Morning, and has to deal with a new city, and the new heroes and villains that reside there.

Summary
Leviathan was much worse than in canon, and Taylor and Lisa are left trying to pick up the pieces of their lives and city in the aftermath.
The overall impetus of this fiction is that I really liked the warlord Skitter days, and kinda' wanted a version of things where they just didn't stop? And then I started writing it and it came out way gayer than I had expected, and I liked that.
