Summary
Turning thirty means Kakashi can make full partner in his family's law firm, but there's one catch: He has to have a significant other.
“I didn’t,” Iruka said before looking at Kakashi, “There’s no way around it?”
“Nope. I’m going to be stuck being a junior partner for the rest of my life and my cousin will inherit the firm,” Kakashi said, completely forlorn, “My father will be so disappointed.”
“Ask someone to fake a relationship with you. You could hire someone to fake date you until you get it legally declared that you’re a full partner. Once the ink dries, break up with said boyfriend,” Genma suggested, earning a scowl from his friend, “What? It’s not like no one has ever done it.”
“How much have you had to drink?” Iruka asked Genma, ready to chastise him for his idiocy, “Like that’s a solution.”
“Not enough and it could be,” Genma said, “Find someone that has a lot of time on their hands. Someone kind and intelligent. Someone that you’d be proud to bring home to your family even though it’s under false pretenses. Someone like Iruka. In fact, it should be Iruka.”

Summary
Through stubbornness and what Kakashi calls a ‘dazzling display of heart,’ Iruka somehow befriends the CEO of Hatake Corp, Hatake himself. And no, despite what Iruka’s friends might think, Kakashi is not his sugar daddy. Kakashi is giving and selfless, and he’s Iruka’s friend, kind and reliable. Sure, he does constantly try to buy Iruka things, and he’s attentive, almost overwhelmingly so, but that’s just how he is: Kakashi is lonely. He’s not used to having friends.
Besides, their relationship is totally platonic. There's no sugaring. If anything—and this is a big if—he’d be something like a… Sugar Friend. Yeah, something adjacent to that.
Iruka is becoming increasingly unsure if that is actually true.
