Inuzuka Miyu hadn't meant to have a baby with Hatake Kakashi. It was honestly just a post-mission one-night-stand.
Now, usually, Inuzukas don't marry. Primary custody just goes to the mother. Secondary to the Clan. Any man is welcome to pitch in, even to move in if hey wanted (so long as the mother allowed it, which they generally did), but fathers are mostly told out of politeness. If the mother even knew who the father was, that is.
But it takes a special kind of fool to get between an Hatake and their cub. Which Miyu and Tsume aren't.
The question of custody stays, though.
It does take Kakashi an embarrassing amount of time to twig in that the drawn out custody battle for Raiden had shifted, and that he was fighting Tsume for custody of himself.

Summary
This is the longfic I need to finish (Part 1 is finished! There'll be 3 parts). So I'll get to it by updating the summary.
This is the result of me thinking "wouldn't it be weird if", taking the idea of Dagor Dagoradh, putting it in a blender, pouring love into it, taking the remains and baking it together. Canon compatibility… 99% canon, but it's a very noticeable 1%. A few characters change a lot (evolution, not AU). I love and respect the source material, but Tolkien would probably chase me with an axe. Still, definitely pro-Valar.
The timeline is a non-canon post-canon: 1500-ish of Fourth Age (but they have engines etc).
South Gondor. The natural world went crazy, so a young engineer is building a flying machine to go talk to the Valar (in whom people don't generally believe anymore), because it worked for Earendil. Then things get complicated. Some OCs, some canon characters, PoVs from both groups. Redemption arcs, plot, other kinds of arcs, plot, friendship, hatered, surprises, sibling relationships, angst, some fluff, more plot.
It's *loosely* inspired by the concept of Dagor Dagorath, so a) world may be ending soon, may be not b) yes, Morgoth is in the fic, a lot. Sauron isn't. Sorry.
