Summary
As a young boy, Alastor was escorted back to his home by a mysterious man. After this man left, Alastor's arms began to glow golden like pottery cracks. For years, he tried to find the man again, but he never seemed to figure out who the man was or why his arms would glow on Halloween.
Then one day, the man appears again and introduces himself as Lucifer, the devil, and the King of Hell. When he sees Alastor's markings, he also says that they are soulmates.
Regretfully, Lucifer doesn't wish to believe it and leaves Alastor without answers to what that means... and then, Alastor dies and arrives in Hell.

In the small town of Hartland, Alastor lives a humble life. His secondhand bookstore, Vintage Verses, along with its attached café is profitable enough to keep him afloat. It's not an easy life, but he's content.

“Lucifer Morningstar, just the man I was looking for!” Alastor interrupted swiftly, lest he start drooling over the smell of Lucifer wafting out of the doorway.
“What?” Lucifer tilted his head sideways, cute, eyes narrowed in suspicion, “I don’t remember ever telling you where I live, how the hell-”
“Why, I’m hurt you forgot you gave me your address!” Alastor gestured dramatically, hand to his chest in mock offense.
Lucifer smiled apologetically, scratching the back of his head like a cheesy cartoon protagonist, “Did I? Sorry about that, bud. Uh, I’d let you in, but I’m actually about to go pick up Charlie from her after school program. Maybe another time, but I gotta go!” And with that, the door closed, shutting Alastor out before he had a chance to bid his fake farewell.
Well. All in a day’s work, as they say.
Or: Alastor is a vampire and his next meal won't invite him inside no matter what he does.

Summary
Alastor's curse in Hell is that it hurts to make connections. The touch of another sinner will burn and blister his skin; the hands of the ones he loves will never be a soothing touch, never a comfort, only pain.
So Alastor avoided touch, avoided friends.
Until the day Lucifer arrives, picks a fight with him and lays his hands on Alastor - and Alastor discovers that the Devil's hands do not burn him, do not hurt him. Touch starved and desperate, he chases after any kind of contact, whatever the risk may be.
(In which an asexual person writes our one canon asexual character and once again takes a ship only semi seriously)
Set during season one and branches off into season 2 as I watch it.

Summary
Lucifer has tracked his movements; he has seen how he fills a room with dramatic flourishes and well-timed laugh tracks. He’s seen him squeeze shoulders and press his face close, coo at others with condescending head-pats and insulting taps to the tips of noses. The face Vaggie had made when Alastor bent over and kissed the back of her hand in a sick travesty of gentlemanly grace almost makes him laugh out loud at the memory. He covers up the sound with a small clearing of his throat. The pure, unadulterated disgust on her features was more than enough to ensure a repeat performance when she least expected it.
That’s what Alastor did it for. The reaction. The control.
Putting aside Niffty, there was only one other exception that he has noticed in his time at the hotel.
Himself.
Or: 4 times Lucifer touches Alastor and 1 time Alastor touches him back.

Summary
"We should act like we're dating!" Lucifer blurts out, wincing as his ears register how unintentionally loud he was.
Alastor regards him silently for a moment and Lucifer does his best not to squirm under the scrutiny. He fails almost immediately. He feels his face start to heat up and rushes to explain himself.
"Think about it. It will drive Vox crazy! Us sitting a little too close together on the couch, stuff that the others won't even notice..." Lucifer trails off into an awkward laugh, because Alastor isn't saying anything. If fact, he doesn't even seem to be breathing.

Vox will be at the hotel for a week to get some "promotional material" and Lucifer wants the television demon to be as miserable as possible without Charlie realizing what he is doing. Luckily he has the best idea!- Language:
