But now that you’ve pushed my buttons enough, I’m sure you’re ready to hear what kind of predicament we’re actually in.” His tone is low, something below even the usual Yamada Hizashi. He hopes it convinces Shinsou to take his words seriously. “Sit down with me. And don’t worry about anyone coming through that door, I don’t expect them to for a while, because their concern isn’t actually with us.”
The two of them sit in their usual spots, legs criss-crossed beneath them with arms crossed over one another for warmth. Hizashi watches the tremors that wrack Shinsou’s body match his own. The temperature in the room is dropping- and quick.
“Whoever did this is much more concerned with getting their hands on Eraserhead. We’re just the bait. And the fact that neither of us are tied up or muzzled tells me that we must be the least intimidating bait on the planet to them.”

Summary
It’s never strange when Dick goes off the grid. He used to do it quite a lot, then it slowed as Tim became Robin. It dropped to once in a while when Jason returned. And it stopped completely after Damian arrived. That is, until Dick faked his death and disappeared for an entire fucking year. Tim takes a deep breath, looking at the bat computer in front of him. Now wasn’t the time. Dick may have gone off grid in the past. But, barring his most recent mission, he’d always kept a line of communication. He’d never just vanished before.

“ERASER! WATCH OUT!” He was already shoulder slamming Aizawa when those words left his mouth, effectively putting himself in line with the grey-ish beam darting towards them. He could pinpoint the exact moment it hit his artificial vocal cords, seemingly ignoring the material covering his face.
It burned, god it burned so bad and it wouldn’t stop spreading. It was like he fell face first into a bush of stinging nettles, if those nettles were developed in a torture-lab. The good part is: Shinsou could now tell you pretty much exactly where his major blood vessels were located, if they didn’t melt under the force of what felt like lava slowly making its way through his body.

He wasn’t sure when he had opened his eyes, but that didn’t matter right now. Describing what he was seeing as blurry would be the understatement of the year. Hell, he had to make an effort to even try to identify the different colours swirling around his vision.
The more concerning part though, was the feeling of someone else controling his body…
