Summary
A year after Ōtsutsuki Kaguya's resurrection, the Allied Shinobi forces are nearly defeated. Try as they might, nothing seems to dent the goddess of chakra. In the end, there's only one battalion remaining, and one last chance to save the world from darkness. Kakashi dies in the battle thinking he's going beyond the veil to see his old friends. Too bad Naruto's got other plans for him.
Kakashi's eight years old again. He doesn't have the chakra or stamina to go up against gods; he also doesn't have a lot of time left to save the world. But, he's dealt with impossible odds many times before. And luckily, this time, he's got help.

Summary
Naruto and Kakashi both sit on the engawa, Naruto’s legs swinging absentmindedly. He's probably still thinking of his parents, the lives they’d led, the friends they'd made, captured in snapshots for him to know even just a little.
“Hey, sensei,” Naruto says softly. "You knew them both well, right? Could you tell me more about them?”
Kakashi thinks over his words, considers what the right vocabulary is here. But that’s the problem, isn’t it? There aren’t any right words to capture the ineffability of his memories, no prose that can spotlight the wildfire of Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina. Nonetheless, he owes it to Naruto to try.

Summary
Kakashi can’t help but see the Obito he’d known as a boy—kind and brave and entirely too good for them all—in this new life. He still is that boy, but there are also parts of a man who has learned to do better and is trying to make up for his wrongs. Kakashi has no right to; he knows he doesn’t after the role he played in hurting Obito, but—he can’t help but be proud of him. And silently cheers him on as he has for years now, willing for him and Rin to be happy. After all, a lifetime of love and devotion can’t be wiped away so easily.
