Summary
Unbeknownst to Allen, a whole other world coexists in the same time and space as the world he knows. Up until his twenties, he lived in blissful oblivion to this world that goes beyond the earthly, where creatures from the supernatural live among humans—blending into society. But all of this changed after one simple Friday.
After that faithful evening, Allen's life spirals out of control when he gets tangled in a bloody web of vampiric chaos. He has to deal with their matters while his personal life is turned on its head as he deals with the lies and uncertainties surrounding the people he thought he knew and could trust. Friends turn into strangers, and strangers become the cause of his misery. One becomes his fatal flaw as Allen battles with the line between life and death far too often.
Is there anyone left to trust so that he can make it out alive?

Hiding it wasn’t hard per se, but it was definitely inconvenient. Sometimes Kanata wishes he’d wake up the next morning without the looming existence of his omega status over his head. Sometimes he dreams what it’d be like if he didn’t have to spend half his income on things like scent patches or suppressants. If he’d never presented this way, he could instead spend his money on getting Nayuta better medical care, or sending Nayuta to a school where he could pursue his hobbies.
But no, instead whatever higher being out there existed had to spite him, and instead of letting him be a nondescript beta, he was a sickly-sweet smelling omega who got hit on by dipshit drunkards in the back alleys of the slums if he wasn’t careful. Which was the exact situation he found himself in right now.

In a world where Kanata is an omega with an odd scent struggling to make ends meet for him and his unpresented twin brother, he meets Allen, an alpha with an odd nose and together they try to make sense of each other and their shitty little world.

Leone whispers into the darkened room. His thumbs rub circles into his partner’s hip as he gazes up at Bruno who stares at the scars Leone has on his chest; his cold, pale fingers ghost the marred red lines. The words Leone spoke barely catch up as Bruno just stares down at him as if he’s trying to memorize everything about him. Though, when they do catch up; they make Bruno freeze.
They made it to the top even if no one else in Passione knows quite yet. Bruno supposes this all should be a comfort to him, after all, he has all he wants; power, life, his family. So why does he feel so empty? Why does this feel like the calm before the storm? Why does Leone’s suggestion feel like a kick to the stomach because it feels out of reach?
As he would soon learn, it really was the calm before the storm, as they’re forced to lie low once again with their lives on the line.

Just because you win a battle doesn't mean you win the war. It's something Bucciarati's gang learn as they are still viewed as traitors of Passione and are issued an already much too kind ultimatum to leave. It grants them a chance of normalcy even if their past brings difficulties to moving on.
