“A chariot,” Achilles articulated aloud. Eyes fixed on the statue. “Who has a chariot?”Or: Achilles has a moment of clarity thanks to an old gift from Patroclus and rushes to find him on the battlefield, where the love of his life is pretending to be him, dressed in his armour. Who knows if he will arrive before something tragic occurs...

Right. In the rush of it all, Achilles completely forgot to mention Patroclus this little modification in personnel. The suggestion had sounded silly coming out of Zagreus’ mouth, but as Achilles thought it over, it wasn’t such a terrible idea.
“It was a last-minute change,” says Achilles, which makes Patroclus bring a hand to his face and let out a slow breath. “He’s being trained well, Pat.”
“He’s blind, Achilles. And deaf.”
or, on the verge of getting the wedding of their dreams, things get a little too complicated for Achilles and Patroclus.

Angel yawned, fighting the urge to stretch yet again as he passed the gate. But he was interrupted as he stepped past, noting something new near the door. A shock of red? Some grey.. Some.. gold.. His eyes widened as he realized what he was looking at and all exhaustion evaporated. His feet carried him frantically to a scene unlike anything he could’ve expected. There, just before the stoop, Husk lay motionless, his once vibrant fur matted with blood and his body twisted in agony. Beside him, the remains of a dismembered exorcist and the cat’s angelic-steel playing cards lay as the grim remainder of whatever violence had unfolded.
